- Hypnosis is not sleep. When in hypnotic trance, you will remain awake and aware, yet deeply relaxed.
- Anyone who wants to be hypnotized CAN be hypnotized.
- While in a hypnotic state, you remain in control, and can emerge yourself from the process at any time.
- I cannot make you do anything you don't want to do.
- Hypnosis is very safe. The American Medical Association sanctioned the use of hypnosis in 1958.
- You cannot get stuck in hypnosis, however hypnosis isn't recommended for specific rare conditions.
- All hypnosis is self-hypnosis -- you are a willing participant.
